There were tears in her eyes as she looked at the girl standing in front of her. She didn't want it to be over.. But there was nothing she could do. The spark.. It was gone. Sam didn't look at her the way she used to. Full of love and passion.. Now when she looked at her, her eyes were.. Empty. No emotion. It tore Carly's insides to bits.

She loved Sam, more than she has ever loved anyone in her entire life. As a friend. As a lover. As family. She was the flashlight when Carly was surrounded in darkness. Now the light was too dim for Carly to see an inch in front of her.

Carly used to be the cause of the sparkle in Sam's eyes. The cause of every smile.. Every skip of the heart..

Carly leaned in and kissed Sam hard. Trying to make her feel something again.. Anything. But when she pulled away, Sam's expression was the same. Emotionless.

Carly fell to her knees, her hair balled up in her fists. She was crying so hard, that it made no sound at all. She was trying to figure out what she did to make Sam stop loving her. One second they were kissing and laughing and just enjoying eachothers company, and the next they were sitting on opposite ends of the couch with upside down smiles on their faces.

Carly opened her mouth, to ask what went wrong, but not a word would escape her lips. She just looked up and stared at the expressionless girl standing in her appartment.

Sam bent over and kissed Carly softly on the head. "I'm sorry." She whispered.

Carly shut her eyes, trying to stop the tears. When she opened them again, Sam was gone.

And she knew, those were the last two words she would ever hear Sam say again.

It was over.

Somehow she managed to get back onto her feet. She felt weaker than she ever has. Holding onto counter tops and using the walls to balance herself, she reached the elevator.

She rode up to the iCarly studio. The heavy door lifted and she walked out. Not bothering to look around the empty room. She walked over to the window, climbed out, and stood on the ledge of the appartment building.

Carly looked down, letting tears fall down onto the Seattle street. "I'm sorry too." She whispered, before leaning forward.

Everything went black.

End file.
